Dickman was recognized for her many contributions to music in Davis:
—Davis Comic Opera Company: produced many shows from the 1970s when she came to Davis
—Citizens Who Care: organized, performed two concerts
—Arranged programs for groups who need musical ones
—Taught voice, helped DHS Mad and Jazz Choir students
—Friends of the Mondavi: leads tours and helps as needed
