Kathleen murphy - 1973 (brinley)


Murphy was recognized for her outstanding work with STEAC (Social Temporal Emergency Alleviation Committee), of which she has been President.

Has been the prime mover of STEAC, a local program set up to aid persons in emergency situations.

By dialing 758-1301, a person is put through by an answering service to a selection member (one of five), who in turn calls on a volunteer in the appropriate area.  If she does not have the resources to help the caller, she will refer the person to another source of help.
